What is COVID-19?

What are the most common symptoms of COVID-19?
COVID-19 symptoms can vary from mild to severe including Dry Cough, Fever, Chills, Shortness of Breath, Muscle pain, Headache and Loss of smell and taste. Generally, Symptoms appear between 2 and 14 days after exposure.
How can I prevent getting COVID-19?
The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed. As COVID-19 spreads from person to person, it is recommended to avoid crowded areas, avoid close contact with others and wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Additionally, it is important to wear a facemask and follow social distancing guidelines.
What to do if I show symptoms?
Most people who get COVID-19 will be able to recover at home within 14 days. Caring for someone can be done by providing basic needs such as making sure they take sufficient fluids and rest, limiting contact with others and over the counter medicine to combat fever and symptoms. If symptoms are severe however, contact your medical center or 911 for emergencies.

Molecular test or PCR-Test
Also known as the diagnostic test is a highly accurate test which diagnoses active coronavirus infection. A sample is taken through a Nasal or throat swab or by a saliva test. Results available within 30 minutes. Molecular tests are generally more accurate than Antigen tests (rapid test).
Antibody Test
The antibody test is a serological (blood) test that shows if you have been infected by coronavirus in the past or if you have an active infection at the time of testing. In some cases, a second test is needed for a more accurate result.
